Harry James's Story.

Born and enlisted Crewe. Son of Adam Brown of 40, Brooklyn Street, Crewe and husband of E. Brown (nee Proudlove) of 129, Walthall Street, Crewe. Educated at Edleston Road School. A former clerk in the Crewe North Steam Sheds. Died two days after receiving shrapnel wounds to the legs. His Medal Index Card states he died on June 10.
