FRANKBY SOLDIER FALLS

Mrs. F. Booth of Hill Bark Lodge, Frankby, has been the recipient of very sad news concerning her husband, who has now been reported as having died a prisoner of war, March 31st. Pte. Frank Booth was attached to the Cheshire Regt., which he joined twelve months to the day when he died. Before this he was employed at the London City and Midland Bank, New Brighton, where he was very well-known and liked by everyone with whom he came in contact. He went through his training at Oswestry before going to France. He was only married a year ago last August (when on his final leave), and much sympathy will be extended to his wife in her sad loss.
