Fell after Leave Home.

News has been received that Lewis Gunner T. Jones, whose home is at 10, Milner Street, Birkenhead, has been killed in action. He was home on leave for fourteen days in September and fell on September 21st, a week after returning to France. He was 26 years of age. Joining in August 1914, he went through the Suvla Bay campaign and afterwards in the operations in Palestine, taking part in the capture of Gaza. This year he was transferred to France. He served his apprenticeship with Messrs. Cammell Laird and Co., and was at the time of enlistment employed at Grayson’s.
