YOUNG NORTH-END SOLDIER’S DEATH.

Official intimation was received last Wednesday of the death of Pte. Robert Howard Williams, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams, of 135, Livingstone Street, Birkenhead, who was taken prisoner of war on March 27th. He is now reported to have died of wounds on April 13th in hospital in Valenciennes, having been shot in the shoulder and lung. He was 19 years of age. Before enlisting he was employed at the Post Office, and was also a member of Lowe Street Sunday School, and was loved by all who knew him. Deep sympathy is extended to his father and mother in the irreparable loss they have sustained.
