NEW FERRY SOLDIER’S FATE.

After being reported missing since the action that took place on July 3rd, 1916, Mrs. Bruffell, of 12, Woodhead Street, New Ferry, has received official intimation that her husband, Pte. Thomas Bruffell, of the 11th Cheshire Regt., was killed in action on that date. The deceased soldier had many friends in the South-End, and was an enthusiastic supporter of St. Mark’s Football Club. He enlisted at the outbreak of war after being employed at Messrs. Price’s Candle Co., Bromborough Pool, for 16 years. He had been in France 12 months prior to his death, and leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss.
