GREAT MEOLS MAN FALLS

Mr. and Mrs. John Banks, Seaview Cottages, Great Meols, received official notice last week-end that their son Arthur, one of the first to enlist in the Wirral Battalion 13th Cheshires, had been killed in action. He was the brother of Sergt. Ernest Banks, who gained the Military Medal and was afterwards made prisoner of war. Arthur for many years was a boy chorister at St. John the Baptist’s Church.
