George Leslie's Story.
9/12515 Lance Corporal George Lesile Brereton, age 20 from Winsford, serving with the 9th battalion Cheshire Regiment, killed in action 21 July 1916. Prior to the war George was a Baker. His family lived at 14 Littler Lane, Over, Winsford, he had four brothers and six sisters. He enlisted 1 September 1914 and was posted to the 9th battalion. He went to France 19 July 1915 and was killed one year and three days later.
