George Oaksbury's Story.

18160 Private George Oaksbury Bailey, age 19 from Crewe. George was born and enlisted in Crewe. He was the son of William and Annie Bailey of 11, Brown Street, Crewe. Formerly a pupil at Edleston Road School and a cleaner in the Crewe Steam Sheds. He first served in the 8th battalion Cheshire Regiment and went to Gallipoli on October 24, 1915. He was later transferred to the 11th battalion and was killed in action 3rd July 1916.
