Sydney Percival's Story.

Capt. S.P. Gamon Killed in Flying Accident

News has been received that Captain Sidney Percival Gamon, Royal Flying Corps, met with a fatal flying accident at Hornchurch, Essex, on Saturday afternoon. The eldest son of Mr J. Percival Gamon, of Leighton Banastrae, Parkgate, and of the firm Messrs. Gamon, Farmer and Co. Solicitors, Whitefriars, Chester.  Captain Gamon was well known to many residents in the city. As an officer in the Cheshire Territorials Captain Gamon transferred to the Royal Flying Corps and had served in France. He had latterly been performing duty in connection with the aerial defence of London. His younger brother, Lieutenant John Gamon, R.N.A.S., is at present serving abroad. When mobilization took place Captain Gamon was finishing his course at the Hydraulic Engineering Works. His body will be brought for interment at Chester.
