HIGHER TRANMERE BOY KILLED.

Mr. and Mrs. Newman, of 46, Whitfield Street, Higher Tranmere, have received official news that their son, Private Thomas Martin Newman, aged 21, was killed in action on May 15^th. The deceased boy joined the Cheshire Regiment on March 17^th last year, and had been once wounded, having been in France 12 months. Prior to joining the army he was employed by Cammell Laird and Co. Ltd., and was educated at St. Joseph’s School.
