George's Story.
George was born in 1896 to parents Charles Boden and Annie formerly Dale. George was one of 9 children and was a native of Northwich. George was born in Forest Street in Northwich and the family moved to 8 William Street in Northwich where they lived for many years. Unfortunately George's brother Harry who was one year younger than him was killed in action 23 March 1918, another brother, Leslie Redvers Dundonald Boden was gassed on 8 September 1918, but recovered and returned home.
On leaving school George became and errand boy for a chemist shop.
He was awarded the Military Medal.
