KILLED IN ACTION.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Bethell, of Raby, Thornton Hough, have received official information of the death of their third son, Lance-Corporal Albert Bethell, who was killed on the field on Nov. 24th, 1917. Albert had been in the Army for two years and nine months. He enlisted in the Army Service Corps, afterwards being transferred into the London Rifle Brigade. He was drafted to France at the end of June last, and transferred into the 10th Batt. Royal Irish Rifles. Mr. and Mrs. Bethell have two other sons on active service – Arnold in France, and Arthur in Egypt, also Archie, who is on draft leave. All friends will deeply sympathise with Mr. and Mrs. Bethell and family, also his fiancée, Miss Maud Wellings, in their very sad loss.
