MISSING SOLDIER, NOW REPORTED KILLED.

We published in a recent issue a photograph of Pte. Joseph Williams, No 35501, who was at the time posted as missing since July 10th, 1916. We regret to record that he is officially reported as dead. He joined the Cheshire Regt. soon after the outbreak of war, and had been in France some months before he was posted as missing. Before joining the colours Williams was on the staff at Lord’s Cricket Ground. He was particularly well-known in this district, being a native of Bromborough Pool. His parents reside at 28, York Street, Bromborough Pool, and he was a nephew to Mr. W.H. Harden of 123, Bedford Road, Rock Ferry.
