Robert Nele's Story.

Born Hindstock, Shropshire, August 8, 1887. Son of John and Annette Loring of The Cottage, Doddington. Educated at Bradfield Junior School and Haileybury College. Worked in the real estate business in British Columbia, prior to the outbreak of war. First served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force and was then gazetted Temp. 2nd Lieutenant to the 5th Worcesters on December 5, 1914. Went to France on June 9, 1915. At the time of his death he was attached to the 3rd Bn. His brother Charles would be killed in action in 1916.
