William Guest's Story.

Born in 1891 to Samuel and Sarah Jane Walton in Runcorn.

In 1911 the family are living Oak Leigh, 39 Victoria Rd Runcorn Cheshire and William has 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Anne (25), Leonard (23), Jessie (18) and Samuel (17).

William is listed as a Shipping Clerk and joined the Royal Artillery Company when he was 26 years old and 5 months on 22nd November 1916 in London. His occupation is listed as a warehouse foreman. He remained at home until 11th February 1917 when he was drafted out to France.

He later joined the RAA. Royal Sussex regiment

He is listed as being 5ft 5inches in height and his service records are on line.

His death was reported in the local paper, and that he was killed by a bullet wound to the head.

Leonard General Walton, joined the Kings Liverpool Regiment as Reg no 16344 and was drafted to France on 7th November 1915, he was demobbed in 1919.
