Reginald Alexander's Story.
Reginald Dudley served with the 190th Railway Operating Company Royal Engineers. The 190th were tasked with operation of the Persian Railways supplying material and weapons to the Soviet Union. Reginald was injured when travelling as a passenger on a train that was involved in a collision with another train on 16 January 1943. He was admitted to hospital on 16th, placed on the D.I ( Dangerously Ill) list on 17th and died on the 19th January due to a fracture of the base of the skull. He is memorialised at the Basra War Cemetary, the Wistaston War Meorial, the Wistaston Memorial Hall War Memorial and the Royal Engineers Transportation Companies Roll of Honour located at the Severn Valley Railway Museum
