William's Story.
William Bracegirdle was born in Knutsford in 1891, one of seven children born to George (a labourer) and Sarah Ann Bracegirdle of Swinton Square, Knutsford. William was a milk-hand.
He joined the 1st Battalion of the Kings (Shropshire Light Infantry) in 1915 as Private no. 24336.
Brother of James Bracegirdle.
