Thomas's Story.

Private T. Weale, aged 19 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Weale, Plymyard Avenue, Bromborough, enlisted in June 1915, in Shropshire Yeomanry and was in training at the Curragh Ireland, during the Sinn Fein rising. He helped to supress the rebellion. He was drafted to the front in August last, and in September was reported wounded and missing.

MISSING – NOW REPORTED KILLED.
A paragraph respecting Pte. Thomas Weale, Shropshire Yeomanry, aged 19, appeared in the “News” on December 30th asking for information regarding his welfare. The sad news has come to hand that he has been killed. It will be remembered he was drafted out in August 1916, and in September, the month following, was reported missing. Before enlisting he was on the staff serving in the gardens at Crewe Hall. He was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Weale, Plymyard Cottage, Bromborough.
