Basil Owen's Story.

Son of Arthur Thomas and Eliza Hale Tatham of Doddlespool Hall, Betley. Educated at Charterhouse. Was a manager of a rubber plantation in the Federal Malay States after resigning his commission in the 3rd Bn. E. Yorks., which he had attained in June 1902. Returned to his old unit following the outbreak of war, but at the time of his death was attached to the 2nd Bn.
