DEATH WHILST A PRISONER OF WAR.

Mrs. Skillen, of 137, Beckwith Street, Birkenhead, has this week received the news of her son’s death. He had been a prisoner of war since February 4th. He passed away on June 25, and was buried by a missioner of the Church of England. English soldiers were present at the ceremony, and laid a wreath upon his resting place. He was twice wounded in action. The only other son has also served his country, and is at present time on Naval work.
