Chaplain’s Sympathy.
The Rev. J. T. Tunstall, chaplain writing to the deceased’s parents says
“I very deeply regret to inform you that your son has been killed in action. He was brought to the advanced dressing station very seriously wounded. I went to him but found him unconscious. I stayed with him until he peacefully passed away. I then conducted the burial service and laid him gently in a soldier’s grave. Let me offer you my deepest sympathy in your great sorrow.”
Mr. and Mrs Siddorn lost another son, Private Jack Siddorn, some 12 months ago.
