Arthur's Story.

Born and enlisted Crewe. Son of Mr E. Riley of 23, Chesterfield Street, Crewe and was a former pupil at Hightown LNWR Boys School. Worked prior to enlisting for Councillor J. R. Goulden of West Street. Went to France on February 22, 1915. His brother Edward was killed in action in Belgium in 1914. Four other brothers also served (Percy, Osborne, George and Thomas).
