Albert's Story.
Born and enlisted Crewe. Son of Charles Field and
Mary Jane Paul of 87, Derby Street, Crewe. Former pupil of
West Street Mixed School and labourer in the Steel Works.
Also served for a time in the Crewe Territorial Battery,
Royal Field Artillery. Went to France on November 8. Shot
through the head by a sniper whilst on sentry duty.
