Tram Conductor Killed

After Five Months Fighting.

Much sympathy will be extended to the relatives and friends of Private Frank Llewellyn, of the Cheshire Regt., who has been killed in action. Private Llewellyn joined the Army on the outbreak of war, and had only been in France for five months. Prior to the war he was employed by the Birkenhead Corporation as a tram conductor, and resided at 10, William Street, Birkenhead. A letter of sympathy has been received by his people in which his officer says he “always found Pte. Llewellyn one of the best soldiers in his company, always ready to help his comrades in any possible way, whatever the danger. He was greatly respected by all the officers and other ranks of his company.”
