Walter's Story.

Private Walter Green.

Recommended for D.C.M.

Mr. and Mrs. Green, of 29 Middlewich St, Crewe, have received information from the War Office that their son, Private Walter Green, of the Lancashire Fusiliers, has died of wounds received in action. Some time ago, Private Green distinguished himself by carrying his officer, who was seriously wounded, for a mile to a place of safety. The officer recommended him for a D.C.M.
