Frank's Story.
Born and enlisted Crewe. Son of William and Mary Edwards of 37, New Street, Crewe. Resided at 12, Alexandra Street, Crewe with his wife Elizabeth (nee Smith), whom he married at St. Barnabas Church, Crewe on February 23, 1913. Prior to enlisting in June 1915, was a crane driver in No.5 and No.6 Erecting Shops, Crewe Works. Embarked from Southampton to France on September 28, 1915. Died of spinal fever at 3.20am in No.7 General Hospital.
