Cornelius's Story.

Born Runcorn, enlisted Chester. Son of Frederick and Emma Duckett of 7, Wrexham Terrace, Crewe and husband of Barbara Duckett (nee Parker) of 10a Wrexham Terrace, Crewe (later of Halifax), whom he married at Nantwich Registry Office on May 18, 1907. Worked in the Crewe North Steam Sheds as a labourer. Father of four children (Cornelius, Richard, Ethel and Florence May). Former Reservist who joined his unit on August 5, 1914. Embarked from Southampton for France on September 25, 1915. Killed by shellfire.
