Frederick Hylton's Story.

Fred was born in Birkenhead in 1897. He lived with his father Frederick Tobias, and his mother Mary Jane at 11a Grange Road, West Kirby, Liverpool. He had a brother Lincoln Redvers.

    Fred enlisted in Birkenhead, originally into the Cheshire Regiment as private 201227. He was posted to the Glamorgam Yeomanry on the 4th August 1917. He was posted to the 14th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers on the 17th September 1918. He entered France on the following day. He was killed in action on the 8th October 1918. He is buried at Bois-Des-Angles British Cemetery, Nord France. II B18.
